HR departments need to focus on productivity
Today is all about productivity and efficiency. For a company to achieve its goals in a tougher economical environment it needs a strong leadership, a well thought strategic plan and engaged people who are motivated to work in the same direction to achieve it. HR specialists play an important role in identifying the company's needs in terms of people programs (training, compensation, and recruiting or employee relations) and choosing the ones which can increase employee productivity.
It’s important that HR will then focus their time and resources on those productivity increasing services and programs. Further steps that will help to increase productivity are described below:
- Focus on percentage improvement in terms of productivity. It reffers to the money spent on people costs for every generated revenue . In this way you will be able to spot who is the most productive or unproductive, and also compare the results with the previous years.
