- Speak clearly and slowly
- Adopt an alert, open posture
- Listen carefully to the interviewer
- Look at the interviewer when talking, the eye contact is important
- Be prepared to elaborate on whatever the interviewer shows interest in, but without waffling!
- Highlight the positive aspects and play down the negative ones
- Seek clarification in case you do not understand
- Do not give just Yes or No answers, but avoid giving speeches. The best thing is keeping your answers concise and to the point.
- Be enthusiastic and be yourself
- Do not ask anything you could have found by your own: about the company information you can find on their web site, for example.
- Be sure you know what comes next: when they will contact you back, if there is a second interview and all details concerning the selection process.
