Job Search

During the interview

  • Speak clearly and slowly
  • Adopt an alert, open posture
  • Listen carefully to the interviewer
  • Look at the interviewer when talking, the eye contact is important
  • Be prepared to elaborate on whatever the interviewer shows interest in, but without waffling!
  • Highlight the positive aspects and play down the negative ones
  • Seek clarification in case you do not understand
  • Do not give just Yes or No answers, but avoid giving speeches. The best thing is keeping your answers concise and to the point.
  • Be enthusiastic and be yourself
  • Do not ask anything you could have found by your own: about the company information you can find on their web site, for example.
  • Be sure you know what comes next: when they will contact you back, if there is a second interview and all details concerning the selection process.
